Your school can decide what year groups will participate in the tournament. The following year groups will can deliver to are:
Year 1 & 2
Year 3 & 4
Year 5 & 6
We suggest that a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60 children should be selected to take part in one tournament.
The group stage will contain two groups of 4 teams. Each team will play each other once in the group stage. The top two teams from each group will progress to the World Cup Knockouts while the bottom two teams will move onto a World Shield knockout competition.
Closing Ceremony and Prize Presentation
LIFE SKILL LINK
Throughout the tournament there will be a a huge focus on the demonstration of key life skills such as teamwork, respect, leadership and confidence. During the closing ceremony there will be a special award given for someone who has shown these skills.
During the group stages, there will be different stations that children will attend when they are not playing that will encourage the use of important life skills.
We will make sure that children of all interests are engaged throughout the day by offering a wide range of different roles and activities such as:
Each team will have a manger who will deliver inspiring team talks.
If your school has class iPad's we will allow children to be match day photographers to capture images of the event for your school.
Certain participants will deliver pre and post match interviews in front of a sponsorship board.
Two chosen candidates from your school will be selected to commentate on the World Cup Final! They will be suited and booted and sat behind a table that will be placed on the side of the pitch. The final match and commentary will be recorded on the day. After the event, we will send you a video of the match with the children's commentary included.
As you can imagine, with all of these activities in store on the day there is fun for all to enjoy!
